title: "Company API"
description: "What a company's website runs on, and the vendors its domain holds accounts with, from the domain alone."

The Company API reads a company from its domain. `technologies` returns what the site runs on (its
ecommerce platform, CMS, analytics, payments, CDN, mail and DNS hosts), the vendors the domain holds accounts
with, and everything the homepage and the domain's records showed: the final address, the headers, the meta
tags, the scripts, the DNS records and the sitemaps.

```bash
curl "https://gateway.apinoa.com/v1/company/technologies?domain=allbirds.com" -H "x-api-key: $APINOA_API_KEY"
```

## Operations

| Operation | Returns | What It Reads |
|---|---|---|
| [`technologies`](/docs/api-reference/company/technologies) | `TechnologiesResult` | The site's technologies and the domain's accounts, by `domain` |

## Inputs

| Input | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `domain` | the company's domain, e.g. `stripe.com`. A web address (`https://stripe.com/pricing`) is read as its host |

## What Is the Same Everywhere

- **Every match says why.** Each technology carries `evidence`: where it was seen (a header, a cookie, a meta
  tag, the markup, a script, a DNS record) and what matched, so a result can be checked rather than trusted.
- **A platform is not an account.** `technologies` is what the site runs on. `accounts` is what the domain has
  an account with, proven only by a DNS record (a verification token, a mail sender). A domain that verifies a
  Shopify account is not built on Shopify.
- **Nothing fetched is dropped.** The homepage's headers, meta tags and scripts and the domain's DNS records are
  returned beside the findings. A site that does not answer still returns its DNS findings.
- **Price.** $0.001 per domain.

## Errors

The same envelope and codes as the rest of the API. See [Errors](/docs/errors). A domain that does not resolve
answers `404 NOT_FOUND`; one that is not a public site answers `400 INVALID_PARAMS`. Failed calls are not billed.
